Two new movies

This week I purchased The Incredibles and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, the latter being a re-release of Miyazaki's first film. This is the same guy who created Spirited Away.

I'm definitely happy with both purchases. Good stuff.

I should probably pick up Iron Giant, an earlier Brad Bird film.

Robots

I went and saw Robots today. This movie is a masterpiece of animation and is a joy to watch. It has its share of funny moments. Unfortunately, I think it fails where it matters most - the plot. Perhaps I'm spoiled by the utterly brilliant The Incredibles.

Verdict: B-
